Familiar Strangers
You think you know her.
To you, she’s a conquest.
A lover, a supporter, a FRIEND.
She is more than you see.
She is butterflies, earth, and trees…
Animals, birds, and bees.
A torrent of nature,
Her rage is winter.
Monsoon, lightning, earthquakes…
You don’t know her at all.
She thinks she knows you.
To her, you’re an escape.
A lover, a supporter, a FRIEND.
You are more than she sees.
You are fire, spirit, and air…
Lava, magic, and flair.
A tornado of steel,
Your rage is summer.
Heat, flame, drought…
I don’t know you at all.
Familiar strangers, aren’t we all?
