Alive
Some days,
I find myself so busy…
I’m grateful,
I’m not lonely…
Just keeping my eyes to the sky,
my nose to the wind,
My heart is open,
My soul is whole.
I appreciate
Not having to wait,
On anything, anyone…
To be more than alone.
It feels so good
To be content,
Not needing consent…
Savoring the moment,
Living in the now.
No wondering how…
My emotions
Still swirling like oceans,
I’m still alive…
…Just no longer in strife.

We’re different
You aren’t like me
I’m not like you
We have different goals,
different perspectives
Yet, I see you
You see me
We don’t feel the same
Love comes in many forms
Not the same
…Yet, called by the same name.
We both say love,
Yet, mean it in different ways
Our hearts complicate things
Maybe better left alone…
How do we ignore
Feelings that course through
Thoughts, minds, hearts
Consciousness connected
Echoing differences in

…As our souls play their own parts.

Where is the spark
Somewhere within
Hiding in the dark
Haunting in the dim
A place so empty and cold
The thought of you
Simply never grows old
Nothing I can do
Escape is out of reason
Loneliness in my soul
Simply out of season
longing to feel whole
Transcending time and space
Love is resting there
In another forsaken place
Where, you don’t care
I’ve found love
Not where I expected
Piercing the storm above
Never to be neglected
My hands are full
Though lacking something
Feeling your magnetic pull
Leading me to nothing
Where is the spark

Hiding in the dark
Haunting in the dim
